Does my dog have to use an e-Collar?

No, your dog does not have to use an e-Collar. As a balanced dog trainer, I tailor my approach to each dog’s individual needs and the goals of their training. While e-Collars can be effective tools for certain training scenarios such as off-leash walking and recall, they are not mandatory for every dog.

Do you work with aggressive dogs?

Yes, I can work with you and your dog, using a variety of tools and techniques to address aggression and/or dog or people reactivity. This includes positive reinforcement methods alongside carefully supervised corrections when necessary, ensuring a balanced and effective approach to behavior modification.

How many training sessions will it take to fully train my dog?

The number of training sessions needed to fully train your dog can vary widely depending on several factors, including your dog’s current behavior, temperament, learning pace, and the specific training goals we’re aiming to achieve. During our initial assessment and as we progress, I’ll be able to provide a more accurate estimate based on your dog’s response to training and our ongoing progress together.

What if I have already done some training with my dog in the past?

If you have already done some training with your dog in the past, that’s great! It provides a foundation that we can build upon. During our sessions, I’ll assess your dog’s current skills and behaviors to determine how to best continue progressing towards your training goals. We’ll adjust the training plan as needed to address any gaps or challenges that may arise, ensuring a comprehensive and effective training experience for you and your dog.

Is my dog too old to start training now?

No, your dog is never too old to start training! Dogs of all ages can learn new behaviors and skills. While puppies are often easier to train due to their adaptability, older dogs are also capable of learning and can benefit greatly from training. In fact, training can provide mental stimulation, improve behavior, and strengthen your bond with your dog, regardless of their age. If you have any specific concerns or goals for your older dog, feel free to bring them up during our lesson so we can tailor the training to your dog’s needs.

When should I start training my puppy?

You should start training your puppy as soon as you bring them home. Early training helps establish good behavior patterns and socialization skills from a young age, laying the foundation for a well-behaved and happy dog.
